A study by an interdisciplinary group of academics analyzed student evaluations of professors on RateMyProfessors.com. Among almost forty disciplines, political science ranks fifth in average “hotness” ratings.

Susanne’s out of town for the night on a work trip. I’m parenting solo until tomorrow evening when she comes back. I will have the help of a baby sitter in the morning, but otherwise I’ll be by myself! Wish me luck!

My paternity leave goes into effect tomorrow. Officially, the Spring semester—and thus my leave—does not begin until January 12th, but tomorrow is the first full day I will be with Xander alone. (My mom returned to CA after providing five weeks of excellent babysitting and cooking services!) This log may soon turn into a “daddy daycare” log. Frontier Airlines’ Rapid Decline
They used to be my favorite airline company. I flew it so much in 2007 that I attained the “Ascent” elite status, which made me like the airline even more.
