To Be Titled

“Imagine” — This was the hardest Daily Shoot assignment I’ve had to do over the 60+ assignments since November. Here is the original assignment: Someone once said ‘Music is what feelings sound like.’ Make a photo of something musical to illustrate the quote today. Most people chose to shoot a musical instrument(s), but I thought the assignment entailed more than that. Basically the goal for me was to visually capture the sound of emotions. The photo of a Garden of Peace (a.k.a. Strawberry Fields) in New York’s Central Park I took gets close to what I hoped to do. The tribute roses and the title of John Lennon’s song in the middle simultaneously and visually evoke emotions and remind the tune of the eponymous song. I wish I could have shot this in person, but alas this photo is of a poster of the mosaic that is on window display at a store on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO.
