“The Lanyard and the Mount” — Assignment #74 for Daily Shoot was to capture the economy or its impact on people. Most people ended up shooting how the economy—or the economic crisis and the recession—adversely affected them.
What I shot—the lanyard and the mount for a camera strap by Luma Labs—captures something different. They capture the creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit within the American economy. Even during a deep recession, people around the country devise and implement innovative ideas, manifesting in new physical products, business ideas or creative endeavors online. The new camera strap and the accessories surrounding it by James Duncan Davidson and Greg Koenig capture that spirit and implementation perfectly.
