It is true that the academic job market is tight this year, and will likely continue to be in the coming years (except for CU, which somehow is managing to keep hiring). But I have seen some résumés-to-CVs transformations for open positions in my department, as some people unemployed from the private sector tried to apply for the academic jobs.
