A friend of mine picked up his iPhone 4 today, which he had reserved 2.5 weeks ago. I played with it for a few minutes. I tried touching and holding the infamous signal attenuation spot for a while. The bars went up from two to three.

This is the header in my Mail.app under Snow Leopard, some time last week. Apparently, I had negative one message at that time. I was hoping for an improvement in Mail.app’s handling of IMAP information in MacOS 10.6. I don’t think Marco would be happy about this.

iPhone Sudoku Grab: How does it all work?

This is an interesting discussion by the author of a cool iPhone software, which lets users take pictures of sudoku puzzles (e.g. in newspapers) and solve them on their iPhones. It’s amazing what smart people can do with technology. [via DF]

Apple’s transition from .Mac to MobileMe hasn’t been smooth. The planned outage started about 10PM MDT last night. It was supposed to last about six hours, but as of now, it’s approaching nineteen. Steve Jobs and Maxime Veron must be seething.
