To Be Titled

Striving to be a good dad, a good husband, a good son/brother, a good political scientist, a good photographer, a good cook and a good homo universalis.
“Cooking Frog” — This morning, my 2.5-year-old said he wanted to cook the frog. He’ll grow up to be a gourmet cook. Shot for @dailyshoot #ds417 for high-contrast.

“Monkey Brown” — One of Xander’s favorite stuffed animals. He’s a monkey, and we named him after Mr. Brown, one of Dr. Seuss’s characters. @dailyshoot #ds309 for something soft. (photo via my Flickr)

“Tickle Me, Avery IPA!” — Elmo apparently likes his beer hoppy. He sipped some of my Avery IPA at dinner at Centro this evening, after a long week. I can understand that he would get pretty thirsty after keep asking “Who’s calling please?” @dailyshoot #ds222 for weekend whimsy.

“Straight to the Accident” — I did not set up this shot. I found the toy ambulance like this when I came home from work today. I thought it would make an interesting photo for today’s @dailyshoot assignment #ds215 to have lines leading to the subject. I think I need a depth-of-field calculator, because this did not turn out exactly as I wanted.

“All Aboard!” — Interesting Sunday challenge assignment (#ds210) for @dailyshoot. It was essentially a DIY filter. I wrapped the front of the lens with a plastic wrap and then smeared it with some liquid hand soap, which resulted in this dreamy look, somewhat like Lens Baby.

“Big Pig / Little Pig” — @dailyshoot #ds207 for contrasting size. Another toy shot was way overdue. It was funny to find another “big pig / little pig” shot by someone else for the assignment.
